About
Families can pick up free trails and sensory backpacks from the National Maritime Museum to explore its galleries.
The National Maritime Museum offers family trails and backpacks from its 'Play and Explore' trolley, helping children discover objects, stories and people in the galleries. Trails are tailored to different age groups: Mini Mariners for under-5s, Ace Adventurers for ages 5-8 and Curious Captains for ages 8+. Sensory Explorers backpacks, developed with local families, contain tactile tools such as binoculars and talk tins with a printed guide, and are free to collect from the Romney Road Welcome Desk daily whilst stocks last.
