Wed Practice Night: The Four Sublime Abodes
About
Four Wednesday evening sessions exploring the Brahma Viharas — loving-kindness, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity — through meditation and discussion.
Over four Wednesday evenings, York Buddhist Centre's practice night explores the Brahma Viharas, the four sublime states of heart cultivated in Buddhist practice. Each week focuses on one quality: Mettā (loving-kindness) on 4 November led by Susan, Karuṇā (compassion) on 11 November led by Punyashalin, Muditā (appreciative joy) on 18 November led by Maeve, and Upekkhā (equanimity) on 25 November led by Punyashalin. Sessions run from 7.00pm to 9.15pm and are open to everyone over 18, with no booking required and no need for prior experience of Buddhism.
