Takács Quartet

The Takács Quartet perform Haydn and Schubert's Death and the Maiden in Garsington Opera's concert series, with an optional supper afterwards.

Garsington Opera's Concert Series in association with Wigmore Hall presents the Takács Quartet at Garsington Studios. The programme pairs Haydn's String Quartet in C major, Op. 20 No. 2 with Schubert's String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, 'Death and the Maiden', a work closely associated with the ensemble since their benchmark 2006 recording. The building opens at 6pm, the concert begins at 7pm, and an optional two-course buffet supper is served in the café from around 8pm.
