Introduction to Slow Stitch
About
A mindful three-hour slow stitching workshop with textile artist Liz Taylor, creating a stitched piece from Lewis & Wood fabric remnants.
Textile artist Liz Taylor leads a three-hour workshop introducing slow stitching, an intentional, therapeutic approach to hand embroidery. Participants create their own stitched piece using fabrics from a collection of Lewis & Wood remnants, learning traditional embroidery stitches used in unconventional ways alongside techniques such as appliqué. The finished work can be framed or used decoratively as a card front or bag panel. No experience is necessary, all materials and equipment are provided, and refreshments are included.
