Lantern Making Workshops at The Wakes

Family half-term workshops making and decorating willow and tissue lanterns for the Telford Celebration Lantern Parade.

Children aged 5 and over, accompanied by an adult, can make a willow stick lantern with guidance from artists, then decorate it in their own style. The two-and-a-half-hour workshops involve glue, so visitors are advised not to wear their best clothes, though aprons are provided. The finished lanterns can be taken to the Telford Celebration Lantern Parade through Dale End Park, Ironbridge, on Sunday 29th November at 6pm.
