Lantern Making Workshops at Lawley Community Centre

Half-term family workshops making and decorating willow and tissue lanterns for the Telford Celebration Lantern Parade.

Children aged 5 and upwards, accompanied by an adult, make a willow stick lantern with guidance from artists, then decorate it themselves. The two-and-a-half-hour sessions involve glue, so old clothes are advised and aprons are provided. The finished lanterns can be carried in the Telford Celebration Lantern Parade through Dale End Park, Ironbridge, on Sunday 29th November at 6pm.
