Life in Lino

A five-week Tuesday afternoon linocut printmaking course for beginners and improvers, taught by artist Jo Shearer.

This five-week course takes inspiration from everyday life — people, places, activities and objects — and transforms it into linocuts. Weekly sessions progress from tool introduction and mark making through design transfer, carving, inking and reduction printing to experimenting with overlapping plates, a printing press and Chine Collé. All materials are provided and participants must be aged 14+, with under-18s accompanied by a paying adult.
