About
A free HES Archives talk by John Michael Allan tracing the history and evolution of Scotland's tenements from the Middle Ages to today.
John Michael Allan, Acquisitions and Loans Officer at HES Archives, examines tenement housing in Scotland's cities using photographs and architectural drawings from the HES Archives. The talk covers the history and evolution of tenements from the Middle Ages to the present and considers what lessons Scotland's tenement legacy holds today. Afterwards, attendees can view original archive material and visit a free exhibition about tenements. The talk will be recorded and uploaded to the HES Archives Talks playlist on YouTube a few weeks later.
