Turner Contemporary presents a special display of JMW Turner's 'Waves Breaking on a Lee Shore at Margate', on loan from Tate as part of Turner 250, a nationwide celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the painter's birth. Margate, which Turner described as having 'the loveliest skies in Europe', was deeply significant to him and shaped his radical approach to landscape painting. The display is free to enter and runs until 31 January 2027.
