See Me Appear by Studio Peut-Porter
About
An immersive artwork by Studio Peut-Porter at Tatton Park using virtual production, AR and soundscapes to bring the stories of three Egerton women to life.
See Me Appear is an immersive artwork by Studio Peut-Porter, part of the exhibition Beyond the View: Canaletto at Tatton Park. Using virtual performance capture, augmented reality and ambient soundscapes, it brings to life the imagined stories of Beatrix, Hester and Elizabeth Egerton, three women who lived at the Tatton Park Estate between 1680 and 1799. The experience unfolds across the Mansion's principal rooms, where immersive encounters and handcrafted artefacts act as portals into the women's realities, offering an alternative, female-centred approach to historical storytelling. It was commissioned and produced by Abandon Normal Devices and Cheshire East Council, with support from the Italian Cultural Institute London.
