UWE Bristol School of Engineering Repair Café

A free community repair café where students, staff and volunteer repairers fix textiles, electronics, glasses, toys and household items brought in by the public.

The UWE Bristol Repair Café invites members of the public to bring broken items — textiles, electronics, glasses, toys and other household goods — to be repaired for free by students, technicians, STEM Ambassadors and community volunteers from the Bristol Repair Café Network. Less experienced repairers are paired with experienced ones to promote skill-sharing in a community of practice. The session runs in the Atrium of the School of Engineering (Z Block) at UWE's Frenchay campus, held monthly on the second Wednesday during term time, and forms part of the wider Bristol Repair Café movement.
