The Interior Design Short Course: Process, Planning, Presentation and Projects (Wednesdays)
About
A weekly Wednesday interior design short course for beginners covering the design process, colour, textiles, lighting, space planning and presentation, culminating in a concept and sample board.
This ten-week Wednesday course at West Dean's London campus teaches the fundamentals of residential interior design, from the design process and colour to fabrics, trimmings, lighting and space planning to scale. Students develop a design concept and scheme, explore sourcing, and finish by producing a professional-quality concept board and sample board for a room in their own home or a hypothetical client. Teaching runs 10am to 2.30pm with a 12.30pm lunch break, and materials are supplied. It is suitable for complete beginners, design enthusiasts, and anyone considering further interior design training.
