Writing the Short Story

A one-day creative writing course with Jacq Molloy covering how to structure and write short stories through reading, discussion and writing exercises.

This one-day course at West Dean's London campus teaches the techniques of short story writing, including characters, time, setting, point of view, showing and telling, and style. Participants develop their skills by reading and discussing short stories and undertaking writing exercises. The course is suitable for writers with or without experience, and runs from registration at 10am to teaching finishing at 4.30pm, with lunch not included.
