Watercolour: Colour Mixing

A one-day beginners' watercolour course in London exploring colour theory and hands-on colour mixing, led by artist Natasha Lien.

This one-day short course at West Dean's London campus introduces the fundamentals of colour theory for watercolour painters. The day opens with an illustrated talk on colour principles, followed by practical mixing exercises in which students create reference colour charts. Those with some existing knowledge can also paint a colourful still life. Teaching runs 10.30am–4.30pm with a lunch break (lunch not included); some materials such as watercolour paper are supplied.
