Festive Jewellery: Beading and Threading

A one-day West Dean short course in London teaching bead threading, pearl knotting and catch attachment to make a festive necklace or bracelet.

This one-day course with jeweller Annie Ruthven-Taggart covers techniques for threading beads and pearls of all sizes to create a necklace or bracelet, suitable as a Christmas gift. Students learn stringing methods, pearl knotting, how to attach catches securely, and how to use steel cable, crimps and wire protectors with heavier beads. Teaching runs 10.30am–4.30pm with registration from 10am; participants bring their own beads and catches, while threading materials are supplied by the college.
