Tom Hunter Selects
About
A free display co-curated by photographer Tom Hunter exploring east London through objects drawn from the V&A's collections and his own archive.
Tom Hunter Selects is a display at V&A East Museum co-curated by photographer Tom Hunter with the V&A East Youth Collective, exploring his relationship with east London as home and inspiration. Drawing on the V&A's collections and Hunter's personal archive, it features works including photomontage by Peter Kennard, Jamie Reid and Gee Vaucher, carnival and protest ephemera, and photography by Dorothea Lange and Paul Trevor. The display reflects on photography as a tool for documenting underrepresented communities and forms part of the annual X Selects series in the Why We Make galleries. It is open daily from 10.00 to 17.30.
