Zips & Buttonhole Class at Abakhan at Shrewsbury

A five-and-a-half-hour sewing workshop at Abakhan Shrewsbury teaching how to insert zips and sew machine buttonholes.

This focused dressmaking workshop takes the fear out of fastenings, covering how to insert standard and invisible zips and how to sew neat, reliable buttonholes on a machine. Participants practise on sample pieces and learn marking, measuring and placement tips for a professional finish. Basic sewing machine skills are required; Janome machines and a hot drink are provided, and attendees bring their own calico, zips and interfacing.
