Free Motion Embroidery for Christmas Class at Abakhan Shrewsbury

A hands-on free-motion embroidery workshop at Abakhan Shrewsbury where participants create Christmas-themed textile art using provided sewing machines.

This five-and-a-half-hour class introduces free-motion machine embroidery with a festive theme. Participants learn how to set up a sewing machine for free-motion sewing, choose the right foot, control fabric movement and build stitched designs, making items such as handmade Christmas cards or a small Christmas wall hanging. No previous free-motion experience is needed; Janome machines and a hot drink are provided, and attendees bring their own calico, fabric scraps and blank cards.
