A guided after-dark wildlife walk on Ashdown Forest with ecologist Tom Forward, using thermal imaging to spot nocturnal species.
Ecologist Tom Forward leads a guided winter walk through Ashdown Forest after sunset, listening for fallow deer rut, winter thrushes and returning snipe and woodcock. Thermal imaging technology is used to reveal nocturnal wildlife. The gentle-paced walk covers up to 5km over varied terrain with frequent stops, and participants should bring a torch, warm clothing and a hot drink.
