About
Japanese experimental band Goat (jp) return to the ICA for a live performance of their minimalist, trance-like compositions.
Following a sold-out show in 2024, Japan's Goat (jp) perform at the ICA. Formed in 2013 by Koshiro Hino as a quartet, the band now performs as a quintet that switches instruments between songs. Their music disregards traditional forms, using muted sounds and harmonics outside the 12-tone scale in minimalist, repetitive compositions described as complex yet simple, mechanical yet sensual. Their recent releases include the 2023 album Joy in Fear and 2025's Without References / Cindy Van Acker.
