Nishi Ginza Station + My Second Brother

A double bill of Shōhei Imamura films pairing a comedy about a henpecked husband's affair with a tender drama about four orphaned children.

This double bill brings together two films directed by Shōhei Imamura during his time working for Nikkatsu. The programme pairs a minor comedy about a henpecked husband's extra-marital affair with a profoundly tender exploration of four orphaned children trying to make their way in the world against seemingly insurmountable odds. It forms part of a wider season of Imamura's films screening at the ICA.
