PULSE: School of the Damned
About
School of the Damned presents a three-day installation of moving image, performance and sound exploring the concept of 'conjuncture'.
For this iteration of the ICA's PULSE platform, the alternative arts and education collective School of the Damned fills the Upper Gallery with a three-day installation of moving image, performance and sound. Taking Stuart Hall's concept of conjuncture as a starting point, the work considers a present shaped by overlapping crises, shifting social geographies and unstable relationships between individuals and systems. The programme opens with live performances on Friday 23 October, including a self-tattooing action, before the installation continues across the weekend. The exhibition is free to attend, with the opening performances ticketed, and is strictly 18+.
