Autumn Knight: I Can't Complain
About
Autumn Knight's first major UK solo exhibition at the ICA explores the act of complaining through installation, video and performance.
I Can't Complain is a solo exhibition by New York-based artist Autumn Knight, her first major presentation in the UK. The Lower Galleries host a new installation dominated by a canopy of balloons and framing a sound installation built from recorded conversations about everyday irritations and grievances, alongside recent video works investigating complaint. Knight's interdisciplinary practice draws on theatre, psychology, improvisation and social exchange, and new performance work punctuates the gallery throughout the run, including solo performances and collaborations with Samra Mayanja and the duo of Michelangelo Miccolis and nick von kleist.
