Unsound London: Night One
About
The opening night of Unsound Festival's ICA residency pairs trance electronics, Chicago footwork meets Polish oberek, and a world premiere sound work.
This first night of the three-day Unsound Festival residency at the ICA combines live electronics, experimental composition and folk dance traditions. Lorenzo Senni performs a new live show with stage and lighting design by Bianca Peruzzi. RP Boo and percussionist Gary Gwadera explore the meeting of Chicago bass and the Polish oberek, joined by folk dancers Maria Stępień and Andrzej Józefczyk and footwork dancers Tiger and Martina Lieskovska. Aleksandra Słyż premieres Ruins, a research-based sound project drawing fragments of the past into the present.
