Stargazing for Beginners

A two-session beginner's course on stargazing covering constellations, moon phases, planets, comets and nebulae.

This beginner's course runs over two Tuesday evening sessions in Room 10 at Mycenae House. It covers identifying constellations, finding the north star, telling planets apart from stars, understanding moon phases such as full, new, super and blue moons, and learning how to watch for comets, meteors and nebulae. No special equipment is needed — participants just bring a pad and pen for notes.
