Manchester: The Dark Side - Halloween Walking Tour
About
A 1.5-hour Halloween walking tour uncovering Manchester's darker history, from Victorian street crime and body snatchers to theatre ghosts.
This guided evening walk explores the sinister side of industrial-era Manchester, beginning outside Manchester Central Library. Stops cover Victorian street crime, the lesser-known stories of the Manchester Body Snatchers, and the rumours surrounding the mysterious 'Manchester Pusher'. The tour also visits Chetham's Library and finishes with tales of the ghosts said to haunt the city's theatres, ending with a supernatural story about the Devil. The tour lasts 1.5 hours and is open to adults aged 16 and over; dogs are welcome.
