Conservation Matters in the North Conference
About
A one-day conference at Manchester Central Library on managing hazardous materials in museum and heritage collections, with talks, posters and networking.
The Northwest Conservators Group hosts this year's Conservation Matters in the North conference on the theme 'Don't Panic! Managing Hazardous Materials in Collections and Museums'. The day features a programme of talks and posters alongside networking opportunities, with tea, coffee and lunch provided. It concludes with an optional pre-bookable guided tour of Manchester city centre exploring how the North West has been affected by the hazards discussed, followed by drinks at a nearby venue. The event is open to anyone with an interest in conservation and collection care, including curators, conservators, historians, students and volunteers.
