Wings, Petals, Charms Drop-in Craft – Ilford

A free family-friendly drop-in clay workshop with Itzatna Arts celebrating Mexico's Day of the Dead by making charms for a communal Tree of Life.

Itzatna Arts leads a family-friendly drop-in craft workshop celebrating Mexico's Day of the Dead. Participants work with clay to create charms for a communal árbol de vida (Tree of Life) honouring loved ones, learning about the tradition's history along the way. The finished communal Tree of Life will be displayed at the library, and visitors can take some of their own creations home. The workshop was designed by Michelle Amezcua and forms part of the Festival of the Dead programme.
