STASHED: Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown + Discussion

FACT’s Young Film Programmers pair Pedro Almodóvar’s dark comedy with a film-inspired playlist and a post-screening discussion.

Almodóvar’s 1988 film follows voiceover actress Pepa as an unexpected breakup is interrupted by a stream of other people’s dramas. Its stylised colours, comic mishaps and escalating chaos turn heartbreak into an absurdist story of imperfect women and solidarity.

This STASHED evening begins with a curated playlist inspired by the film and time to meet other filmgoers. Doors open at 18:30 and the screening begins at 19:00, without adverts. A post-film debrief offers a chance to discuss the film and suggest future screenings and activities. FACT lists an 85-minute film running time. Film certificate: 12.
