Working with Black & Minoritised Survivors of Abuse - F2F - City
About
A face-to-face training course in Nottingham helping practitioners respond inclusively to Black and minoritised survivors of domestic abuse.
Equation runs this one-day, in-person training course for workers and volunteers who may come into contact with people experiencing domestic abuse, including practitioners, managers, strategists, commissioners and volunteers. Delegates examine the additional barriers Black and minoritised survivors face when accessing services, explore survivors' experiences to see how responses can improve, and identify support strategies and good practice for making services more accessible. The session runs for seven hours and covers in-depth material on different types of domestic abuse, though it does not explore support for migrant or refugee survivors in depth.
