Responding to Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse: Skills & Practice (F2F) - County
About
A face-to-face skills training session by Equation on safely engaging perpetrators of domestic abuse, managing risk and supporting behaviour change.
Equation runs this practical, in-person training building on theoretical foundations from its Recognising Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse course. Over three and a half hours, delegates practise building a safe, boundaried alliance with perpetrators, holding purposeful conversations that support behaviour change, and identifying and responding to risk. Delivery combines skills-based learning, role play and scenario-based practice with facilitated group work and feedback, and covers making appropriate referrals to voluntary Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programmes. It is aimed at professionals who come into direct contact with perpetrators and who already have some prior domestic abuse knowledge.
