Winter Woodblock Printing with Alex Booker

A sold-out beginner-friendly woodblock printing workshop with artist Alex Booker, making festive prints, cards and decorations at David Parr House.

Artist-printmaker Alex Booker leads a one-day woodcut printing workshop in the studio space at David Parr House. Participants design and carve their own woodblocks with traditional Japanese hand tools, then hand-print using a baren and rollers, experimenting with papers, layering and registration techniques. The festive-themed session includes making cards, decorations and wrapping paper, lunch from Norfolk Street Bakery, and a glimpse inside the decorated house during the break. The group is limited to eight people and no experience is needed.
