Connecting Collections
About
A community-curated exhibition at North Hertfordshire Museum exploring underrepresented histories and how objects were collected.
Connecting Collections is an exhibition curated by local people in North Hertfordshire, produced as an outcome of the museum's ongoing Connecting Collections project. The project aims to include underrepresented histories and stories, examine how some objects were collected — including whether any were obtained in unfair or unethical ways — and make changes around the museum to give a fuller picture of history. The display is an Arches exhibition shown in the museum's Terrace Gallery space, and features works including a c.1967 portrait of Abdo Nagi by Agnes Haggo.
