Adam Ramsay - Abolish Westminster: Britain's Broken Political System and an Argument for a New Democracy

Portobello-based writer and journalist Adam Ramsay launches his new book Abolish Westminster on the eve of publication. The book argues that Britain's politics is broken, examining lack of accountability in government departments, the pliancy of cultural institutions and how power and money serve the wealthy, before proposing a radical alternative: breaking up Britain. Ramsay will be in conversation with comedian and writer Josie Long, with an audience Q&A and a book signing afterwards. In-person and livestream attendance options are available.
