Repair Cafe St Athan

A free volunteer-run repair cafe where locals bring broken items to be fixed while enjoying tea, coffee and company.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought in by the public, free of charge, while visitors wait with a cup of tea or coffee and can learn how repairs are done. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though most items are considered — microwaves are excluded for safety reasons. More volunteer fixers are welcome to come along.
