7 Days In May: Mac Demarco and Ryan Paris + Q&A
About
The Doc'n Roll Film Festival presents the world premiere of a documentary following Ryan Paris and Mac DeMarco's week-long collaboration, followed by a Q&A with the directors.
This documentary follows Ryan Paris, the voice behind the 1980s hit Dolce Vita, as he travels to Los Angeles in May 2024 to collaborate with indie rock star Mac DeMarco. Over seven days the two musicians write, record, produce and mix an original song, culminating in a music video. The film is an intimate portrait of an unlikely friendship between artists from different generations, exploring the joy of making art. This world premiere screening is part of Doc'n Roll Film Festival 2026 and is followed by an in-person Q&A with directors Joseph Bird Jr. and Raf Fellner.
