About
A course exploring the work of the 20 British novelists chosen by Granta Magazine in 1983.
The course examines the fertile period of British literature by reading published extracts of all 20 writers selected by Granta Magazine in 1983. Students will also read two full novels: Pat Barker’s Union Street (1982) and Graham Swift’s Waterland (1983). The classes are highly participatory, involving close reading exercises and group discussions.
