Andy Warhol's Prison + Dorothy Dean Book Launch
About
A screening of an excerpt from Andy Warhol's Prison (1965) followed by a Q&A launching the second edition of Who Are You Dorothy Dean?
Éditions 1989 marks the launch of the second edition of Who Are You Dorothy Dean?, edited by Anaïs Ngbanzo, a collection of Dorothy Dean's unpublished writing and correspondence. The evening includes a 40-minute excerpt from Andy Warhol's Prison (1965), inspired by Bibbe Hansen's experiences in a juvenile detention centre and featuring Dean, a key figure of the 1960s New York underground who starred in six Warhol films. The screening is followed by a Q&A with Ngbanzo, moderated by Róisín Tapponi, with books available for purchase and signing.
