About

An early, autism-friendly opening of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum with reduced noise, lights and crowds before the general public arrives.

The museum opens an hour early for visitors who prefer a calmer, less crowded environment, with noise levels, flashing lights and crowds reduced as much as possible. Sensory bags with ear defenders can be collected from the lower ground reception, and a Quiet Safe Space is available in the North Room. Visual storyboards and an AccessAble guide help visitors plan their visit, and the museum opens to the general public at 11am as usual.
