About
Production designer Grant Montgomery talks about recreating the Brontës' world for Sally Wainwright's To Walk Invisible, marking the film's 10th anniversary.
Marking ten years since Sally Wainwright's Brontë biopic To Walk Invisible, production designer Grant Montgomery shares his memories of the production. He describes transforming Haworth's Main Street back to the 1840s, recreating Church Street on Penistone Hill, and rebuilding the Parsonage interiors on a Manchester soundstage. Montgomery, twice BAFTA-nominated for Peaky Blinders and designer of Netflix's Dept. Q, also discusses his research-led approach to period production design.
