Writing Workshop: Home Is Where the Heart Is

A writing workshop using the Brontë Parsonage Museum and Lumb Bank as inspiration for stories about houses and the people who lived in them.

Led by writers Liz Flanagan and Angela Clare, this three-hour workshop uses models of the Brontë Parsonage Museum and Lumb Bank, former home of Poet Laureate Ted Hughes, to inspire new writing. Participants explore the people who lived in these houses, peel back layers of history and reimagine homes they have lived in or dreamed of. No writing or poetry experience is required, all materials are provided, and the session is suggested for ages 16 and over. The event runs in partnership with Lumb Bank.
