About

A talk by Sharon Wright, Editor of the Brontë Society Gazette, on how journalism and magazines shaped the Brontës' literary life.

The Brontës' first publications were tiny magazines produced around the Parsonage table, and the family were devoted readers of Blackwell's Magazine who read newspapers aloud to one another. Sharon Wright, Editor of the Brontë Society Gazette, explains why poring over the press was vital to their literary life. The event takes place in person at the Brontë Parsonage Museum.
