Metal Embossed Christmas Decorations

A festive metal embossing workshop at Shrewsbury Library where participants create three handcrafted Christmas decorations.

Local artist Emma Williams leads a 2.5-hour workshop teaching the art of metal embossing, covering low and high relief embossing, engraving and decorative detailing, and techniques for creating depth and texture. Participants make three festive decorations finished with felt backing and ribbon, with the option to add colour using specialist translucent paints for an enamel-style finish. All materials, tools and templates are included, and the session is suitable for beginners and all abilities.
