IATP Asbestos Awareness
About
A half-day IATP-certified asbestos awareness training course for workers whose jobs may bring them into contact with asbestos-containing materials.
This half-day classroom course covers the history and properties of asbestos, its health effects, the types and likely occurrences of asbestos-containing materials, how to avoid disturbing asbestos, and the relevant legislation. It is aimed at trades such as construction workers, roofers, plumbers and decorators who need awareness-level training under Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Assessment is by multiple-choice exam, and successful learners receive an IATP certificate valid for one year.
