About

A curator talk exploring how animals and plants generate and use colour, illustrated with specimens from the museum's natural history collections.

Ray Barnett, formerly Head of Collections and Curator of Natural History at Bristol Museums, examines how colours are produced through pigments and by reflecting or refracting light. The talk asks whether animals see the world as we do and how particular species use colour as signals to others. Specimens from the museum's natural history collections will be used to illustrate the subject. The ticket includes free entry to the exhibition.
