Bogotá instrumental trio Los Pirañas bring psychedelic cumbia, champeta and mutant surf to The Jam Jar in Bristol.
Los Pirañas are an instrumental trio from Bogotá featuring Eblis Alvarez (Meridian Brothers), Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero, Ondatropica) and Pedro Ojeda (Romperayo). They blend Colombian styles such as vallenato, Peruvian chicha and champeta with a rock attitude, noisy improvisations and absurdist musical humour. The gig includes support, with doors at 7.30pm and the event starting at 8pm; entry is 18+.
