El Pony Pisador + Skimmity Hitchers

Barcelona folk-shanty band El Pony Pisador make their Bristol debut at The Jam Jar, supported by the Skimmity Hitchers.

Barcelona's El Pony Pisador bring their UK tour to The Jam Jar for their first Bristol show. The band blends Catalan songs and dances with Celtic and Mediterranean tunes, yodelling, Tuvan throat singing, Georgian polyphony and Balkan polyrhythms, drawing on the festive, participatory spirit of Catalan festes majors. Their latest album, "Ocells" (2024), reworks traditional Catalan music with new sounds, and they are known for high-energy shows with crowd participation. Support comes from the Skimmity Hitchers.
