London Palestine Film Festival: A Tribute to Mohammad Bakri + Q&A

A London Palestine Film Festival tribute screening three of Mohammad Bakri's films, followed by a Q&A with Saleh Bakri.

The London Palestine Film Festival 2026 honours Mohammad Bakri (1953–2025), the Palestinian actor and filmmaker who shaped Palestinian cinema and theatre for over half a century. The tribute screens three of his works spanning two decades: Janin, Jenin (2024), in which he returns to Jenin refugee camp twenty-one years after his landmark documentary; Le Monde (2026), a short set in a café-restaurant during a birthday celebration; and Since You Left (2005), a meditation on mentor Emile Habibi, memory and exile. The films, shown in Arabic with English subtitles, run 124 minutes in total and are followed by a Q&A with Saleh Bakri.
