About
A free family drop-in workshop at Fletcher's House making Anglo-Saxon beast puppets inspired by archaeological finds, with a finds handling session.
This family drop-in activity explores Anglo-Saxon drawings and carvings of beast-like figures, inspired by finds from before the Anglo-Saxons were Christian. A Finds Liaison Officer helps children create their own beast puppet, and there is also a finds handling session where visitors can bring along their own finds to learn more about them. Booking into one of the day's two time slots is requested so numbers and resources can be managed.
