Chorister Experience Day

A free day for children in school years 2-6 to sing with Durham Cathedral Choristers, tour the Cathedral, play the organ and join Evensong.

Durham Cathedral Choir hosts a free day for children in school years 2-6 to experience life as a chorister. Children register in the Chapter House at 12.30pm, join choir practice, meet current choristers, take part in craft activities and a Cathedral tour, try the organ, and finish by singing Evensong at 5.30pm. A parallel schedule runs for parents and guardians; no previous singing experience is needed and children wear school uniform.
